We at Patisserie Lebeau are so excited to announce that we are participating in the 2023 Greater Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival! So what exactly are we gonna be doing?
Well, glad you asked! The festival runs from January 14th, 2023 until February 14th, 2023. We have three exclusive flavours for the festival and we're drawing inspiration from what we do best; pastries!
Inspired by a lot of our Belgian bestsellers, like our white chocolate and lemon liege waffle, or our Belgian speculoos cookies, we wanted to turn delicious pastries into a delicious liquid form!
All drinks will be made with the freshest, highest quality ingredients, with all of our chocolate being important from Belgium, as per usual. Without further adieu, here are the flavours!
THE WAFFLE ONE (JAN 14TH - JAN 23RD)
A deconstructed version of our white chocolate and lemon liege waffle, this hot chocolate is made with white Callebaut chocolate and real whipping cream. The whipping cream will have a generous dollop of lemon curd, the same one used in our lemon tart, and be sprinkled with fresh, tangy lemon zest. It will be served with our mini Original liege waffle.
THE COOKIE ONE (JAN 24TH- FEB 4TH)
Made to resemble our Belgian speculoos cookies, this one is made with milk Callebaut chocolate and will be infused with the same spices used to make those thin, crispy cookies. Topped with real whipping cream and speculoos cookie crumbles. This one will be served with... you guessed it, a speculoos cookie! That way you can compare the taste!
THE CAKE ONE (FEB 5TH- FEB 15TH)
With rich, dark Callebaut chocolate, strawberry puree infused meringue, and real whipped cream, this drink is meant to resemble a cake with a cookie bottom. Served with our crumbly sable cookie, eating these two should be like resembling eating a cake with a cookie bottom.
We hope you enjoy these hot chocolates as much as we enjoyed creating them and taste-testing them! See you with hot chocolates in hand!
