Who are the Owners?

Olivier Lebeau was born and raised in Belgium. He was an avid cyclist who has competed for a few years. He graduated from Boulanger Pâtissier program in 1987 and worked at the famous Patisserie Fransoo in Uccle (Brussels).

Penny Lebeau grew up in Hong Kong. She graduated at California Culinary Academy’s Baking and Pastry Art Diploma program.

History of Pâtisserie Lebeau

Established first on November 1995 on Cypress Street in Kitsilano before moving to our current location at West 2nd Ave, Pâtisserie Lebeau is dedicated to bringing beloved Belgian specialties to Canada. This includes rice pies, speculoos, craquelins, and more. We also have a large varieties of waffles, from the brioche-like Liège waffle, to the well-known, fluffy Bruxelles waffle. Patisserie Lebeau even has a selection of filled waffles that you won’t find in Belgium!

We are able to  introduce all varieties of Belgian waffles with just enough sugar and butter, all natural flavours and no preservatives, so you can actually feel great about eating our waffles!
