The Liege Waffle originates from the Belgian city of Liege near the Dutch and German border.
Liege Waffles are a different type of Belgian Waffle – not made from batter, not similar to a biscuit – these are made from a yeast dough to which we add “pearl sugar” – a unique sugar manufactured only in Belgium. During baking, this special sugar melts inside the dough and coats the outside creating a unique flavor and crispiness to the waffles.
We use only a handful of simple ingredients: fresh milk, fresh eggs, unbleached flours, real butter, pure natural vanilla, natural dried apple and natural vanilla chocolate chips, so each one has to be perfect in its quality and proportions. No preservatives or additives are used and there's no need to bother with maple syrup!
Our Liege Waffles are ready to eat and sold frozen.
Our waffles are part of a healthy diet
There are seven main classes of nutrients that the body needs: carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, fiber and water. It is important to consume these seven nutrients on a daily basis to build and maintain health. Poor health can be caused by an imbalance of nutrients, either in excess or a deficiency.
Because our Waffles are made from wholesome and natural ingredients, they contain all the essential nutrients. Consumed with moderation, we believe that our Liege waffle can be part of your family’s healthy daily snack.

About the Pearl Sugar
Pearl sugar is made in Belgium from beet sugar and is 100% sucrose. Sucrose is a natural sugar, unlike high fructose corn syrups that are engineered to be as sweet as possible (found in most carbonated beverages, junk food and in most waffle syrups), sucrose is needed and readily assimilated by the body.
Our pearl sugar is also more environmentally friendly. Our Belgian manufacturer composts the ”cosettes” (left over from the beet after extracting the sugar) and uses the bio gases to heat the boilers and produce the power to run the plant. They sell the excess power to a local power grid, thanks to an initiative by the Belgian federal government.
